November 28,2023 Marigot St. Martin
Is that alliteration necessary? Please read this post and let me know.
When we visited Marigot last week, I bought a few things, and once back onboard Serenity, I immediately regretted not purchasing a specific pair of linen pants. So…upon our return to St. Martin, I took the opportunity to tender off our ship…leaving Timmy behind to fend for himself. I returned to the West Indies mall in Harbour Point Village. Sadly the mall is a shell of its former self. When we were here in 2007 (or maybe it was 2008), the entire three story building was occupied by beautiful, high end shoppes. Currently, there are no tenants on the 2nd and 3rd floors … none. I didn’t ask, but I suspect that both the 2017 hurricane and Covid took its toll.
On our visit last week, I was very fortunate to encounter Claudette in the “DS Boutique Fashion Store”. She was very helpful in an unobtrusive way, finding my size, making suggestions…but not in any way pushy. As luck would have it, she was working again when I returned. She remembered me and asked “Where is your husband?” ( Everyone loves Timmy.) Luckily, there was one pair of the linen pants left…in my size…and on sale♥️ Win/win/win.
I placed myself in Hilary’s hands and enjoyed a hot stone, deep tissue massage and a mini facial with a head massage. Oh my goodness. Beyond relaxing. ♥️
Timmy spent the afternoon resting too. Good thing, because we had a full evening of fun ahead of us.
Pre dinner entertainment in the Stardust Club featured Cruise director Raphael Derkson, on trumpet, the Crystal Showband and “Friends”.
Dinner.
Our fourth visit to Nobu’s Umi Uma in three months…so freaking lucky.
So we lookup and these fellow guests were walking by on the promenade deck, enjoying themselves…I waved and they posed. This is why we love Crystal…everyone is so happy.
A most wonderful shopping, spa, Showband and sushi day. Thanks for following along.🩵🩵🩵
