Our friend and guide, Francisco Miro, fetched us at 10:30 a.m. If we can help it, we never want to be off the ship before 10:00 a.m. Leaving the city at that hour was easy peasy.

Arriving in Garraf, a cool seaside resort town, we came upon some surfers who had just left the waves. Because this section of beach rarely experiences big waves, these young folks were super stoked. (That’s me using surfer lingo that I learned from my youngest son😊). Garraf was so peaceful and quiet.

We walked around, enjoying the architecture and beautiful views of the seaside.

Many of the sidewalks in Garraf were worked in this fish pattern.

Isn’t  this kitty adorable? Much like in Tuscany, some doors were open with beads in the doorway.

Next up…Sitges. We were here with Francisco for a brief drive-by in September 2017 and I loved it so much I wanted to return and spend time here.

We began our stroll in the old town, peeking into various shops.

There were less folks on the beach in Sitges than in Garraf…more waves in Garraf.

This was a cool plaque on the side of a building.

Loving the broken tiles on this rooftop.

Old time bakery.

A very cool candy store. We took pics of the pirates because our sweet neighbor, Gina, loves them.

More pics. As you can see the weather was delightful.

Fransisco and Tim examining a monument.

This promenade is chock full of folks during the peak summer season.

Francisco suggested “Mare Nostrum” restaurant when I said I’d like to eat seafood. We began with two appetizers: calamari  with a squid ink mayonnaise and anchovies on crusty bread.

We all shared a wonderful seafood paella with a local white wine.

Dessert was super yummy as was the amazing view

We strolled a bit more after lunch and came upon this fellow walking his Doberman Pincher and Mini-Pincher. They were adorable and very friendly.

On the way back to Barcelona, Fransisco detoured to a former factory town that houses a crypt that Gaudí designed.

A brief nap for Tim, a little reading for me and then we ventured out to the Crystal Cove and Scott Mitchell playing so beautifully.

Dinner…I know … it’s hard to believe the sheer volume of food that we have been consuming.

Ahi Tuna

Penne pasta with spicy artichoke sauce.

Wonderful night
