After breakfast on our balcony, we headed off the ship to meet up with our guide, Darko. The tender ride to shore took about 20 minutes. An advantage of sailing on a small ship like Symphony, is that we can anchor in the harbor at the entrance to Old Town Dubrovnik.
We strolled around the old town, learning about the history of Dubrovnik, enjoying a leisurely pace with Darko.
After about an hour, Darko left us for 10 minutes, to fetch his Mercedes van, and take us out of the city. While he was gone, I posed Timmy for the obligatory “parked on a bench” pic. We chose Darko as our guide because he offered to craft a visit that would take us away from Dubrovnik proper and give us a glimpse of nearby places that he and his family love. He also promised amazing views. He delivered on both counts.
We said goodbye to Darko at the entrance to Old Town, browsed a few shops and made our way to the tender spot. I snapped this photo while waiting to board the tender. We were the only folks on the tender. Crystal runs the tenders continuously…no waiting at all…as we pulled out, another pulled in.
Thanks for following. Tomorrow Olympia, Greece♥️♥️♥️
Here’s Darko’s contact info…you are welcome 😊
