We love restaurant recommendations from locals, so when our new friend Daniel recommended Sacramento Restaurant and Paulo our concierge, seconded the recommendation, we arrived at Sacramento with high expectations. We were not disappointed. We were greeted warmly and ushered upstairs to a lovely intimate dining room overlooking the busy main dining room.
Ana, our server, recommended a beautiful 2011 Montedo Pintor, a blend of Trincaderia and Cabernet Sauvignon to accompany Tim’s duck and my osso bucco.
We both loved the pear salad with strawberries, almond and quince.
The traditional Portuguese duck was accompanied with rice and goat cheese.
My osso buco with port wine and mushroom risotto was beyond delicious. I really do not have enough superlatives to describe the experience. Beautiful venue, wonderful service and outstanding cuisine made for a most enjoyable evening.
