November 14, 2023 Serenity Sea Day

I cannot tell you what a joy it is to be back sailing on Serenity…around every corner we discover another crew member and have a happy reunion. I regret that we spent the day eating and reminiscing … instead of taking photos of the crew. Oh well. Tomorrow’s another day♥️

How it started…Roland set up breakfast on the balcony.
Clearly I’ve left any shred of vanity back on shore♥️
Never explain…
So yes, after the waffle..I made my way to the gym and jumped on the treadmill…this is how my step counting app recorded my 8000+ steps…22 miles…if only😂
It’s a sea day…so of course we spend the day eating. I had salmon…Timmy: Steamed buns with barbecue pork and the Chinois Chicken Salad. IYKYK
At six we headed to the Palm Court for the Captain’s Welcome. I love Captain Birger…his welcome was so beautiful and heartfelt…we especially loved the way he spoke about the crew… his affection and admiration for his people is very evident.
We enjoyed the show band and watching folks dance.

My lobster was cooked perfectly. I honestly think the food preparation, presentation and taste is better than ever.
Tim choose pheasant …Me: “Why?” Tim: “Did you not see the sides? Corn fritters and champagne sauerkraut”….and that reply is why I love him.😍
Please note…two desserts for Timmy …bittersweet passion something and roasted almond ice cream…because why not?
Here I am virtue signaling with my raspberry yogurt.
James Fox backed by the Crystal Show Band…he reprises songs from his hit Broadway show: Movin’ Out. If you close your eyes he does sound remarkably like Billy Joel…my favorites: Uptown Girl and New York State of Mind.

So before we left for dinner, we took the mirror selfie…I said to Tim: I’m moving that laundry bag…it ruined the photo. Tim: Send me the photo…let me see what I can do with my edit APP.

He’s a freaking genius with the editing tool …ok maybe not exactly a genius…but I think he did a super job. Anyway, we enjoyed the first sea day of our return to Serenity. Thanks for following along♥️
