We slept in on our second day in Monaco. Breakfast in our cabin…it was too cool for the balcony. Overnight Serenity moved into port. No tendering today. A good thing because the waves were significantly greater than they were yesterday.

After breakfast I headed to the gym and Timmy was off to the Library to fetch his daily crossword puzzle.

We met in Marketplace for lunch. We both had salads and pulled pork sandwiches. After lunch Timmy napped and I read.

At 4:15 we headed to the magic show in the Pulse Nightclub. A wonderful feature on each cruise is the opportunity to attend a close up  magic show. The event is limited to about 12 guests who are treated to slight of hand card tricks. We throughly enjoyed Dan Garrett (dangarrettmagic.com)and not because he asked me to participate in his first trick. He’s really terrific and very personable.

We pretty much have an evening routine…Drinks in the Cove, dinner in Waterside, followed by the late show in the Galaxy Theatre.

We enjoyed appetizers- escargot for me and smoked cod for Tim. I very much enjoyed my autumn squash soup, Tim had the French onion. I ordered a half portion of the Beef Bourguignon which paired beautifully with a Cabernet Sauvignon. Timmy paired his scallops with a dry Riesling. Our superstar waiter, Stephan suggested the pistachio dessert. It was a hit with both of us.

Tonight’s show headlined James Fox doing his My Life Billy Joel tribute. We loved it. The entire show was wonderful, greatly enhanced by super choreography.
