Katakolon is a cool little seaside town in Pyrgos Greece. We met our driver, Marilena, right at the port gate, and headed out for Olympia…archaeological site of the first Olympic Games…776 BC. We left early in search of the Temple of Zeus, Temple of Hera and the stadium. As we drove through small villages, Marilena pointed out olive trees, native plants and flowers.
He really is a good sport.

I’m pressed for time, so I won’t upload the other 999 pics I snapped…hopefully I’ll come back and add a few more. My one regret, is that I did not photograph the enormous line of folks waiting to enter the museum as we left…at least 10 busses were parked in the lot as we rejoined Marilena. She had bottles of cold water waiting for us.
Timmy asked Dris for a Coke, not thinking Pepsi was available-he mentioned in passing that he was a Pepsi drinker before I “made” him quit …next thing we know, here’s Dris with a Pepsi…this is the Crystal way.
Timmy had ankle fusion surgery on January 5. Some day I’ll post a photo of the 5 screws in his foot…don’t worry, I’ll warn you first.
After dinner, we headed to the Crystal Cove in anticipation of the White Party.
