July 14,2024 Sonora Island and Vancouver, Canada

We were so fortunate with the weather on our entire trip…our last day at Sonora Resort continued the trend. We enjoyed our breakfast and watched new guests arrive via plane.

Might be fun to arrive in a plane that resembles a whale

After breakfast we packed and chilled in the lodge.

Early afternoon we said our goodbyes…Oh Hanna, I will miss your sweet bright light.

Thank you Rob for your delicious cuisine and great conversations.

The man of the hour Chef Jin Jeon …so creative…so humble♥️

💙

Chef took our left over sashimi and made this glorious chowder ♥️

Timmy had his heart set on a burger too!

As we waited for our ride to Vancouver we settled in the main lodge …watching Spain beat England in soccer …and were treated to Erin, the resorts’ bartender, prepare a “new drink menu” tasting for the wait staff. It was fun watching these young people interacting and sharing some light moments.

One last photo…I cannot imagine the excitement when Brenden Leeson caught this fish. I wonder if it matched mine when I caught my 10 pounder? Anyway, we had a marvelous five days at Sonora Resort and send our heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful young people working there. They absolutely enhanced our enjoyment of both the resort and its surroundings.

Captain Dylan’s flight was smooth and before we knew it, we were landing. Our driver was waiting, and we were checking into the Rosewood Hotel by 5:30 or so.

A last helicopter pic🩵

The Rosewood Hotel Georgia is a beautiful property with excellent, attentive staff. This is the reception area.

Hallway outside the elevator…lord knows why you’d need a sofa…the elevators were instantaneous.

We were tired and honestly, neither of us could face the thought of a large meal, so we ordered room service. The food arrived in a timely fashion and was yummy.

Yes, we were too tired to even sit at the table.

Our room was quite comfortable …with perhaps too much furniture.

♥️

Enormous bathroom with his and her vanities.

Our nighttime view includes the Vancouver Art Gallery. Happy to be back in this very cool city for two more days. Thanks for following along 💙
